Blossom Music Center (Cleveland) 7/1 So, my tickets came last week!
I thought that the first 10 rows had to be picked up at will call, so I was surprised to get them in the mail.
Anyone else going?

2 days!
I've been too busy this week to get excited, but now I am! OMG...third row!
The thought of a meet and greet makes me weak in the knees...I don't know if I could handle it lol
Welcome to the Buckeye State, Trace! Have a safe trip and a nice visit...wish it was a little closer to me though!
Home Wife- 06-30-2007
Tomorrow :D

Are you goin to the eat and greet?
if not dont worry, 3rd row you're certain to get some eye sex lol!!!
Home Wife- 07-03-2007
No eat and greet, and no eye sex lol...but that was definitely the best of the 6 times I've seen John! His shorter hair, and older songs (Covered in Rain! Victoria!) made it feel like I was seeing old John again. He seemed so happy and relaxed instead of rushed or not feeling well like other shows I've been to.
The biggest surprise came during Ben Folds last song, when John came out in a suit, smoking a cigar and sat on Ben's piano playing a keyboard! I got videos and I will see if I can figure out how to put them on youtube...or I know I can do sendspace, so if you want to have them I'll just do it that way.
I was right next to a woman with a guide dog...we talked to her a little before John came on....anyway, she held up a sign, something like, "John, your words are my eyes" and he noticed her (maybe he saw me too since I was beside her?) and said "you brought your guide dog?" and started to talk about her dog. So she walked the dog up to the front row and it ended up on the video screens that are on the stage. I got a vid of most of that too, so if John looked at me, I was too busy making sure he was on my camera screen to notice
Oh well, I thought it was a very cool moment, and I'm so glad her sign got his attention, instead of the one that said, "this is the perfect night to make your baby" A guy in front had a very small sign asking for a pick, and John gave him one before he even finished the song he was playing...he had to play without one while he ran back to the mic stand to get a new one :-)
So, those are the highlights, if I think of anything else I'll add it later...and I'll post pictures and videos later too!

aww that sounded like a cool show. Is nice to know that John pay attentions to signs, I know some artist don't bother. I know John has said in the past that he can't always see the signs the farther back they are, so he tries to read the ones up closer ha.
I should make a sign  JOHN I OWN A WEBSITE ABOUT YOU J-MAYER.ORG LMAO!
Home Wife- 07-03-2007
You should! That would be awesome
I tried unsuccessfully to put my videos on youtube, so they will have to wait till later. But here's my photos:

The reddish ones are neat, I think. Love to see him smile. But this is one of my favorites:

I am going to TRY a sneak in a camera, I'm up close enough so I should pull it off. I'm not bring my good camera though which sucks, but I'll try and get a different one. Both arenas say no cameras but I've been to enough shows to know that peoples till bring them in some how lol
You are right though looking at John now with his shorter hair playing guitar reminds me so much of him years ago. Those are great pictures, I think I have asked you this before but what kind of camera do you have?
Home Wife- 07-03-2007
Our camera is a Panasonic with 6x optical zoom. We actually didn't have to sneak it, so maybe you won't either. I was surprised because last time I was at that venue no cameras were allowed, and this time they were actually selling disposables in the aisles! The ticket just says no professional photography, so it seems that most places allow you to have a point and shoot camera now. Video wasn't allowed though, so I had to be sneaky with that, because our seats were on the aisle and security was stopping people who looked like they were taking video. Tim kept hitting me in the leg when he thought they would see me
I think this is the pic I meant to post above, cause it looks like he's looking right at me (hard to tell here, it needs to be a little bigger and lighter) :
