Holy crap.
That was AMAZING. Fantastic!
James was awesome. Ben was silly, but good. He did a cover of Such Great Heights which was awesome.
Bigger Than My Body - Great way to start it off! A sing-a-long from the start. The entire band came out brandishing red cup like they were tailgating in the parking lot with the crowd.
No Such Thing - Way better in person then on the album, but isn't everything?
Belief - Fricken awesome. So many solos tonight, in just about every song.
I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You) - So groovy. Like silky, slinky, oozing, hotness. Aura; heaven.
Good Love is On the Way - "GOOD LOVE" another jamming sing-a-long. I was surrounded by Trio lovers. Anything that was from JM3 was met by screams and shouts of joy.
Covered in Rain - Oh. My. Just wow. What can you say about CIR, always amazing live.
Waiting on the World to Change- Another sing-a-long.
I Don't Need No Doctor - Groove-tastic
Clarity - "A song about a perfect day" - JM intro
Vultures - Great, he danced to this one, and walked like he had a stick up his ass, it was hilarious.
Why Georgia - Everybody now! WHY-Y, WHY-Y, WHY-Y GA Why!
Gravity - Amesome, awesome! With touches of Come Back to Bed in the middle.
Encore-
3x5 (acoustic) - Great times, Sing-a-long again. Loved getting to hear this. (He had an interesting hip motion to keep time to this one. I laughed out loud.. My dirty mind...)
Who Did You Think I Was (solo) - Sounds great acoustic too!
Crossroads - A-FRICKEN-MAZING!!!! Holy crap, this rocked our pants off.
Tons and tons of solos tonight, in every song I believe. Hardly any banter, he said "no talking just play, PLAY!" The crowd roared. You could tell he was having a blast. During Gravity he turned to JJ and mouthed "don't stop" so we just kept going along for the ride. Some of the solos were face melters, incredible! JM was having a blasty-blast. He didn't want to stop. The crowd was amazing, so much energy, packed house and lawn. I bought some cool merch too, a zip-up JM hoodie, t similar to the L-83 presale one but better colors, and a long sleve baseball t that super soft with John Mayer across the chest and 83 on the back. The primped, prissy like preteens were pissed next to me, I thought it was hilarious. Not that they had a bad time, but that everyone around them was rocking their asses off and these three girls just stood there blank stares chewing their cuticles. They have no idea what they missed. I'll add pics tomorrow if I have time before leaving for Hershey. Oh, I caught a pick! It's yellow, I believe DRH's and well loved.
I know I'll remember more later... Or it will blend with tomorrows show...
All I can say is wow. That was the BEST I've seen him, even better then MSG.
