Heee! I like that! Nice iPod and neighborhood!

Okay. Photo-editing question!!! If I want to take a picture and make all of it black and white except for, for example, my tee shirt, how would I go about doing that? I use Paint.NET (which is relatively similar to Photoshop, minus many features, so I've heard), Picasa, Paint and some random one called IrfranView that I got from a myspace recommendation for resizing pics. I'm willing to download any program (preferably free) that does it. I know photoshop does it, but since I've already had a free trial, I don't think they give me another. I'm deeeeesperate!

Not to be a bitch... but... Anyone? I've got midterms this week, which means my day after 12 is free except for studying. So I've got lots of time to kill, and by kill I mean photo editing to relax. Word? :D

bowlingchicky83- 01-17-2006

I've worked with photoshop for years, that's all I use, sorry. :( I hope someone can help with the other programs.

Thanks anyways :) . I just downloaded GIMP, which is supposedly comparable, according to friends and CNET's Download.com, but I've yet to use it. We'll see what I can do...

Hometownsweetie- 01-20-2006

Yep, GIMP is the golden ticket. lol. www.gimp.org Its insanely complex, so I'll be studying the tutorials this weekend, but it does everything I was looking for. And its freeeeee! :)

My shoes and pants, the 1st day of midterms, sitting in the courtyard with a former crush. lol. I haven't had much time to learn GIMP, though my friend has nearly mastered it (in like... 2 days!!!) and he promised to teach me. It looks perfect for my needs. Near my summer house. Out my window again. I love the view I have. Where my desk and computer are, they're angled so that I can almost always see out of my window. Its gotta be one of the best views in the neighborhood. :) Typical emo pic taken out of sheer boredom in the student commons at my school. Notice the lovely reflection of my camera. lol. My movie-making camera... On location for a high school drama we shot a couple of months ago. I heart photography!

DC :) It was suuuuch an amazing trip. ^^ It was a Jewish Youth trip, so we did our Saturday night prayer services with candles on the steps infront of the Jefferson Memorial. I'm not religious, but it was honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Each of the 250 kids had a candle, and there was just a fascinating glow that was nearly impossible to catch on camera. I wish I was still there... nice weather, all reform jews my age from all over the country, no parents, hotel rooms... Well, you know the rest.

OMG!!!! :) I just got amazing news. I posted pictures from a concert that I went to (The LeeVees, The Zambonis, a few others) on Guster's website (they're kind of like sister bands, the singer from Guster is in the LeeVees). So yesterday I get an email. "We saw your pictures from the show. The Zambonis are making an album whose proceeds go to charity. Can we include some of your pictures from the show in the CD booklet?" So... of COURSE I said yes. :) Yay for good news.

Everyone has such awsome pictures. I love your Washington DC pictures, there awsome, i was there last summer and i was at the water fountian too, that's such a great place. I was also at the Lincoln Memorial which was my favorite and to be at the very top looking across the pool to the washington monument is such a breath taking view. I hope i can go back next summer, i won't be able to this year :-(

I know its been a while, I've been busy and really not happy with the shots I've been taking. My camera is starting to dissapoint me a little. This one was from my date with my loveerrrr last night, I was showing him my favorite spot for inspiration at the train station, where I read a board of graffiti, some of it a waste of time, while some of it is really, truely interesting. Like this. Unfortunately, it was late at night, lighting sucked, so half of the words are missing. I tried to find a matching font and fill it in, so its a work in progress while I go pixel by pixel, matching things up. This is an older one. It made me chuckle. When the play is over, I'll probably get back into this... One week till showtime!!
