My best friend from school (K-12) lives in St. Petersburg with her husband Fred, and their 15 month old Jedidiah (from the Bible, nicknamed Jedi) and I can't get through to them. Last year they didn't evacuate when a hurricane was coming and I'm afraid they won't this time either. Tina is very stubborn. Fred's family lives in LA., but were spared from Katrina. I hope Tina, Fred, and Jedi, as we as everyone else down there has very very good luck and makes it through unscathed.

I hope your friend and her family will be okay too...this year's hurricanes are so much worse, maybe they'll evacuate this time.

Just wanted to let you all know that Mom and Dad are fine, home, and just had a few palm fronds down in their yard. Shew. They've dodged two major storms now. My uncle, however, lives right where Wilma came ashore....he can't get in to see, and he doesn't have anyone who is there to tell him if his house is still okay or otherwise. Thanks for all your thoughts!
