k - so i'm just curious as to who has. so post away, tell us your stories. i thought the concert forum was the best place for this seeing as how 99.99% of the meetings are going to occur before/after a show!

Me! But you know that. :lol: Met him four times, and chatted on the phone twice. Thus far, anyway. Next week, who knows! :)

I'm sad I couldn't stay after the show last night and/or go tonight. I really wanted to thank him. It was a life-changing night for me--a real blessing. (See my thread in the "I Love John" forum and the Atlanta page if curious as to what I'm referring.) :( Maybe next tour...I hope. Does anyone think he'll sign after shows then? (Sorry for being a downer here; I'm truly thrilled for those of you who've had the amazing opportunity. Be sure to cherish every memory.)

k - well i'll tell mine seeing as how our stories are lost now and there's so many newbies! 1. March 2003 - outside the venue 2. Toronto 2004 - instore early in the day and backstage after the show and again even later 3. Pittsburgh 2004- backstage in the venue and elsewhere

Mel- Just curious but how did you get to chat on the phone? Did he call you or you call him or over a radio station? It's cool either way. I was just thinking that's the "Uh, sorry, wrong number," story of the century if that was it.

:lol: No no, I don't have his number or anything. Both times were through a radio station. One time was total luck the day Heavier Things came out. He actually remembered meeting me on that call. The second time was last August. Long story relating to his comments in Esquire about spending cash of phone sex. The radio station hooked that one up. It's not nearly as scandelous as it sounds.

lem, that was good times even being only linked to you by phone!! i think i have it on my computer. LOL

I've met him three times. December 2004- local radio stations charity concert, early christmas present from my dad. it was just me and Mags (strwbrrybliss) so we were able to talk to him for a while. September 11, 2005- Outside the HOB in san diego after his show, he signed a picture that was taken at the first meeting, and we shook hands. September 15, 2005- Outstide the HOB in LA. Got recognized by him and shook hands. Managed to get a nice bear hug too. :D
