i haven't read through this at all, but am i the only one that finds his whiney voice sooooo effing annoying?? that and the few songs i've heard sound SOOOOO much alike. anywho - someone thought he was good enough for the noms...

You are the only one in this thread (except for Steph). I have seen James in concert and he is amazing. The new stuff he has is stellar--look for "Annie" and "1973" when the new CD pops out. His voice does tend to pitch on the high side, but his lyrics are moving and lovely. He merits the nominations, in my opinion. The songs you hear on the radio don't compare with the rest of the CD, just as WOTWTC doesn't reflect the brilliance of the rest of Continuum. Different strokes for different folks.

I have seen it on You Tube, but I remember it from seeing him. The last time I tried to find it on YT, I didn't have much luck--maybe the person took it down. Anywho--looking forward to September! :D I was only 5 in 73, don't remember much except HR Pufinstuff and Sigmund and the Sea Monster!!!! :-D
