Yeah he cracks me up with his interviews, he's a little strange sometimes but i love that about him, he's more normal cause of it. unless most celebrites who are all showy and stuck up he isn't like that. Phoenix, the 31-year-old star of the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line," was driving eastbound above Sunset Strip about 2:50 p.m. when he realized his brakes were not working, said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman. Phoenix lost control of his car, which overturned and hit another vehicle also headed eastbound, Lee said. His publicist, Susan Patricola, said in a statement that Phoenix was wearing his seat belt and walked away from the scene after being helped out of his vehicle by a passer-by. Earlier this month, Phoenix won a Golden Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy for portraying country legend Cash. Phoenix is nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, which will be handed out Sunday. Patricola told Us Weekly magazine that he will be at the awards ceremony despite the car accident.

I heard about the accident first thing when I turned on the tv this morning...glad he was wearing his seat belt.

Its actually pronounce with an H. So that's its HAW-Keen, Here if you go to this thread at this Joaquin board I go to, they have a thread where its explained how you say his name. The J is silence you don't sound it out, its Spanish so that's why the J sounds like an H. But I think cause its translated in English has Wah-Keen, that's how most people here say it. But in other languages its said differently. It depends on how you translate it, i don't think he has a problem with people saying Wah-Keen cause that's how people say it so who knows. I dunno it could but the shit out of him or not..lol The entire family has cool names, he has sisters named, Liberty, Summer and Rain. And his late brother of course River...hah gotta love a stand out names..lol When he was little his name was Leaf but that was more of stage name when he got older he started to use his real name which is Joaquin. No i was saying it like that too for a long time till i started to hear it on tv more. Its just a cool name no one else in hollywood has it so that makes him even more stand out haha.

I think its so cool the real johnny cash picked Joaquin to play him. Its sad that he didnt get to see the final product :(

Joaquin met Johnny about 6 months before he even knew there was a movie about Johnny. So Johnny and June gave there ok for Reese and Joaquin to play them, so i know they would be proud of the movie, and Johnny's son, produced this film so you know from a family view point the movie was done in a respectful way. It is sad that they never saw the finished work but they still left a great legacy and though i will admit i only became a fan after the movie i now understand more about Johnny's work and alot of songs are great, i highly suggest you download some of his songs. I love hurt and boy named sue, and ring of fire i love. But my most favorite is Cocaine Blues, my god Joaquin amazes me in the movie when he sings that I liteary get shivers when i see that scene. If you really love the music in the movie get the soundtrack its one of my favorite cds i love it ! I think i will go and see it tonight if i can, i really want to see it again one more time..LOL On a side note, Joaquin directed three new music videos one of which is a band called she wants revenge i HIGHLY suggest you check them out there really good. i think we all know how much ive loved joaquin phoenix ever since i was a little girl. he is my lover. and he was a god as johnny cash. adnt eh "dude i just sharted" guy from along came polly shouldnt of got the oscar. thats all im saying.

Yeah i always remember how much you loved Joaquin, Jess, i always thought that was two things we shared, the same birthday and our love for Joaquin :lol: He was VERY good in WLT everyone by now knows how much i love that movie lol. no one understands my love for that movie, it probably goes deeper then anything else. *sniffs*
