Hiya Lauri!!!! How are you this Thursday?? I am sleepy. Methinks I need some serious siesta!

Me too. I am doing a lot of fill in at my office and have worked the last three nights, including tonight, and frankly, I am burning out! I have to work Flu Clinic Saturday, too. Gah, so much for a stay at home Mom. Any fun plans for the weekend? Julie has another dance Friday, and we are visiting friends in Delaware on Sunday. Weekends are too short!!!

Working on Saturday...bummer. Anna has a dance Friday too! And I'm helping out in Ben's classroom for their Halloween party tomorrow. Nothing planned for the weekend, and trick or treat isn't until Monday night.

Ours too. I know some places that always do it on the Sat before Halloween. Dan's Aunt is from Enon, OH. She was down here last weekend for a visit and she kept talking about Beggar's Night and I finally realized she was talking about Trick or Treating!!!!

Never heard of Enon....or Beggar's night! Maybe I have heard it called that before, it makes sense I guess!

I have no idea where Enon is either!! It's Dan's Aunt anyway!!! Near Xenia, maybe? I think I spelled that wrong. Oh crud! We are supposed to get flurries tonight. How whacked is that?????

I think you spelled it right...flurries here too :roll: Do you let your kids trick or treat at anyone's house, or just people you know? My dad used to only drive us around to houses of people he knew. We can't really walk our road, no sidewalks and the houses are far apart but we go to a nearby street where the houses are closer.

Ou street is like that too, so we drive to the end of our cul de sac and let them go into the more populated section of our development. Meh, I inspect all the candy before they have their tiny paws on it, so I don't worry too much. But yeah, when we were little, my parents always made us go to just the street we lived on. I came home with maybe...MAYBE a small brown bag's worth of candy. Now for my kids it's like a marathon to see who can fill a sack. And then I end up throwing most of it out in November. Crazy schtuff. L, I gotta motor. Carpool beckons at 3 and I have to dress for work. If you catch Steph on, tell her I miss her! Nice to chat with you! Let's do it again soon!

I had to go too, Anna was about to get home...sorry, I didn't say bye! We usually try to look the candy over but I don't worry about it much either. I end up putting candy in the freezer, we forget about it, then I find it the next summer and throw it out :lol:

Hi! Just surfin the net for some Halloween game ideas for ben's class this afternoon! Might not even have time for games because they do a costume parade, but wanted to find a couple just in case!

You are such a good mom!!! I am surfing for ideas for Julie's bday party...we decided to go with a 60's theme. Groovy! You are lucky you can celebrate Halloween. We can't at school. We live in a verrrrrry conservative county and it isn't allowed. Pagans we are!
