did anyone buy it off itunes and get the 8 and a half minute video that comes with it? i want to see it so bad :(

I rushed to work early yesterday so I could hit FYE. So I had to work 5 hours knowing it's sitting in the back room..waiting...argh haha..but I still haven't listened to all of it. :(

I haven't heard it all either, Rezz. And I've had it a whole 24 hours now! We cancelled our Thanksgiving trip on account of snow so I don't have to listen in the car...I'll play it while I bake pies today instead :D

You know i will say that daughters still is a song i can't really listen to, im sorry lol. HOWEVER the version on try..DAMN does John puts on the vocals, that is the best version i have ever heard. He's just really putting it out there. :shock:

i love this slow bluesy version of 'daughters.' possibly more than the acoustic? i also love the way they reworked SM - it doesn't sound too bad w/o the horns, and it really focuses on john's awesome guitar playing. he comes up with great solos on that tune.

I think every Trio version of Daughters is better than the original...it's like it was meant to be done with the Trio. Tim said to me after the House of Blues show that he thought it was the best he had ever heard that song, he hasn't heard it on Try yet though...

i agree. the slow buildup... then you hear those first notes and it's just such a sad and exciting feeling. such a great tune - too bad they couldn't play the whole thing at the grammys!

This has to be my favorite Mayer album. His vocals are dead on, and the tunes are fantastic. I love "Vultures", "Gravity", "Another Kind Of Green" (especially the version of this, it kicks the original in the balls). If this is the new direction he's going in...tell him not to look back.

I had had ENOUGH of that song and then Tuesday I kinda fell in love with it all over again. I think it sounds perfect on TRY, the best version I have ever heard of it.

I just noticed that they postponed the sendingdate with a week of my version of TRY! :? And now I just saw that they also lowered the price with 25%!! While I paid the full price :x :evil: I immediately send in a complain email. That's just not right what they're doing... :?

I've been listening to it on every car trip I have made since I've gotten it (which have been quite a few), and it is pretty awesome, I really can't get enough of any of it. I'm now putting it on my MP3 player so I can listen to it tomorrow during classes. Hurra!
