I got it! I got it! I almost missed it cause I didn't realize the packaging was different.

Finally got Try!, for Christmas, from my dad. I have to agree with many of the mid range reviews that complained about audio. It's a few steps up from the two shows on my computer, but not by much. It deserved better mixing. Other than that, the originals are solid. The strongest, to me, were "Gravity", 'Vultures", "GLISTW" and "Another Kind of Green". "Out of my Mind" was the only song I hadn't yet heard. It's not too bad, but nothing too memorable. And although I don't think "Try" is one of the stronger tracks, it is a personal favorite. The old standards, were fine. I really like hearing "Daughters" more in line with the Home Demo Recording. "Something's Missing" isn't really changed up that much and does, like some critics say, seem out of place. Although I did love the version at the Boston show with the "Walking on the Moon" tease. The covers, are just that covers. I love them, but am fully aware they are in his own vein and are in no way intended to match-up to what the orginators made them. So not a flawless album, but one I have a great joy listening too. It's earnest, genuine and you can clearly tell the Trio is not a 'shot in the dark' or 'vanity project' like a lot of critics have said or hinted at.

I was browsing iTunes and figured I'd check to see if TRY! was still on the top 100 albums of the day. It is still on there, it's good to know people are discovering the album/Trio and it has staying power. It is #58.
