:lol: But as much as I would like to gloat about it, I can't, my fished died, I'm really sad about it, it was my fault and I killed him, he just ended up getting sick and no matter what I did I couldn't do anything. :-( *edit* i took out the post. I didn't want other people to read it.

Aww, sorry about your fish :-( I'm sure it's not your fault...that's just the way it is with fish. Sometimes they don't live long no matter what you do. I didn't post anything when I saw your prank last night cause I didn't want Tracy to see mine before she read all of yours. Wouldn't be fair to rob her of the full effect. Nice one, Steph :lol:

Well my mom went back to the pet store, the guy basically said, that bettas really should have a heater and be only feed once every 3rd day. He also said TONS and TONS of other things you should do when you have a betta that I didn't know about. I was keeping him in my room which gets VERY cold at night and its never a steady temperature. I knew that was a problem but I didn't know what to do. But I did my best in trying to keep his tank warm but I couldn't keep up. I was also feeding him everyday, which I got mixed opinions on, people were telling me oh no everyday you feed them, other people oh no you feed them every other day or whatever. But finally the end of last month while he was starting to get sick, I brought him downstairs, got a brand new tank, heater, started to feed him once every other day. But he ended up getting a fungus, we got some medicine for that, didn't work. It then turned out to be a bacteria, got a different medicine for that, it didn't work. I knew by Saturday that was it for him, he was starting to swim less, by then he wasn't eating, and he was spending more time on the bottom of the tank. Yesterday morning I notice he was starting to swim on his side, which is the first sign, once a fish starts swimming on there side there dying. By last night, my mom took him out of the tank, and put him in a little bowel so he could get the top faster for air, and by the end of the night, he was completely on his side on the bottom of the bowel. :-( So I guess while I was at work today he finally died, which I was glad, you have no idea how hard it was all last week and the weekend to know that he was going to die, especially this weekend when he finally turned for the worst. I know its silly to be upset over a fish, but when its something I could have prevented its hard, even if I've never taken care of a fish before and you learn these things. Its been YEARS since my mom had fish and even then it was usually goldfish. My mom was like if you want I can get the tank all properly set tomorrow and this weekend you can go and get another fish. I was like god, I just killed a fish you want me to go and get another one? lol Bleh I'll get over it. This is why I don't want children, I don't want the first born to be a tester :lol: (notice the sense of humor in a time of grieving lol)

yeah, especially after I had already asked her if it was an april fools ;) pfft.
