Yeah, Steph...step outside your comfort zone a bit and see how it feels...it may just bring out the extrovert inside of you!
You never know unless you take a chance.
:D

You should go for it Steph! If you're not comfortable with the group, it's okay if you just observe and don't say a lot...people might start talking to you and ask you questions so it won't be hard to make conversation. Maybe follow Nat's advice and just go out with the one girl first, see a movie and get something to eat, that way you avoid the going out drinking thing.
I'm off to West Virginia and Maryland so you won't be seeing much of me here for a week! I don't know, maybe I'll pop in once or twice...Bye for now!

OMG so the girl at work asked me if i wanted to go to our theme park we have about 45 mintues from here i totally said yes  I was shocked she asked me, its a last mintue thing but dude i'm so excited, she seemed really excited i was going too. I've never been to this theme park before so i'm so excited, i mean i'm just shocked right now, yeah you can tell i never get out much lol.
I mean i'm surprised i found someone who wants to acutally hang out with me and hey you know if i don't stay friends with her for long that's ok, i'm enjoying it while i can
aww have fun Lauri, Maryland eh? any special visits planned?
mayermaniac- 07-22-2006
Have fun Steph!!
Go upside down for me! :D
BiggerThanMyBody- 07-22-2006
we up for a few hours i thinking it was 45 mintues its only like 20 mintues from my house that's not to bad. But man i have a really bad headach and a stomach ach from those rides, i went on one ride and it was my last i didn't like it at all lol It just spins you around and around and i felt like i was going to be sick. But i wouldn't stop laughing duing the entire thing, like i couldn't move but i was laughing cause the two people i was with just were cracking me up and my friend just kept making these comments and she has this type of laugh that once she starts laughing i can't stop lol
But i had a great time, it POURED though, i couldn't believe how hard it was raining. It was raining when were going up but lucky for a few hours it didn't rain so we were able to go on most of the rides.
Omg my friend rode with her sister and mother back and i rode back with the guy that went with us that was so werid..LOL i have not had a sit down conversation with a guy since collage, he's really nice. He works at the same place i do and we acutally say hi to each other alot and he sometimes comes over to talked to my friend, but we never have "spoken".
Its funny they both have said that they've heard around work that i am really quite espically him, but once you talk to me and get to know me i'm really talkive. I dunno why everyone at work is saying i don't really talk, i talk when i want to, or when i have something say. *shrugs* lol
Oh well. Tonight i dunno if i want to go and see a movie i REALLY was hoping to go and see pirates again but i want to see lady in the water first so maybe tonight i'll go and do that. My mom's boyfriend said he wants to go which is a complete shock he NEVER wants to go to the movies with me nor he does like going to those things. So maybe i'll go with him but i really want to see that movie.

Home Wife- 07-22-2006
aww have fun Lauri, Maryland eh? any special visits planned?
Yep, gonna be in Maryland for a couple days...not sure how far from Tracy I'll be though. It would be nice if we could get together for a quick visit but I don't know if she can do it...since you've met us you can tell her we're not scary people...I don't think we are, anyway
I'm so glad you had a good time at the theme park, Steph! Tell us more about this really nice guy you rode home with...maybe he would like to see a movie with you ;)
BiggerThanMyBody- 07-23-2006
LMAO!!! he's like 30 much older then me, not that there is anything wrong with that, but its kinda werid. But yeah he's really easy to talk to, but he's certianly out of my league he has a life i dunno if i could keep up with or anything, but it was nice to finally get to know him, he even said the same about me, he's like, all i hear is your quite and blah blah and its nice to finally see that your not really like that.
Dude he asked me if i had a boyfriend i'm getting REALLY tired of everyone at work asking me that. There like oh you don't why? how in the F*** am i suppose to know that?..LOL
Anywho, so that was much day, i think i will go and see Pirates today i dunno we'll see, damn i am spending SO much money this weekend i'm not even joking. Its crazy. I spent like 15 bucks just seeing Lady in the Water..
littlegreenbug_onmyguitar- 07-23-2006
omg i hate that question.. lol
i rmember i was at the mall buying make up and some sales guy asked if i had one and iw aslike UUUUUUUUh no... ooh why?? ...
geeeee well
yah. .whats one supposed to say?!
mayermaniac- 07-24-2006
he's like 30 not that there is anything wrong with that
There isn't!!! :D
You're only nine years younger, that's not so bad!! :D
And hey, why did it cost you $15 to see LITW??
That's some expensive theater!!!
BiggerThanMyBody- 07-24-2006
well it only cost me like 6 bucks for the movie but the rest was spent on food  that's why most of the time i bring my own food to the movies lol its to damn expensive. The movie ticket itself isn't that bad but they get you on the food part
Home Wife- 07-24-2006
Oh, that guy is 30...a regular old man! Don't forget John will be 30 in a little over a year...I think I'm actually looking forward to that  Anyway, it's nice that you got to know someone new and see that people do like to hang out with you! You are not so different offline than you are online ;)
I was just telling Tracy recently, I think in the pirates thread, that the theaters make $200 on every dollars worth of unpopped popcorn...they make more on food than on the movies, it's insane!
BiggerThanMyBody- 07-24-2006
AHH omg I am so GRR right now, my supervisor i know is trying to pin something on me to get me fired, my friend i work with, asked her about a raise, and basically lets just say my supervisor is like well that's up in the air if your still working here. OMG if i get fired cause of some stupid shit and cause of some bitch who doesn't like me, screw that, i'll get her fired before she pulls something on me
I've had it with that women, she's had it in for me since DAY ONE i was there. I dunno what her problem is with me. If i get fired, i know my friend will walk out, and i hate to say this, but if my friend gets fired, i think i will take the job my mom said she could get me in at, at the hotel she works with. I don't want to take the hotel job cause its its like a 10-20 cent pay cut, that may seem not to much but to me for someone who lives pay check to pay check that is a HUGE cut. The only reason i am staying where i am not is cause i really need the job and i love working my friend, other then that i would leave if i didn't need the money.
The war is now on
littlegreenbug_onmyguitar- 07-24-2006
to the mattresses!
hah
mayermaniac- 07-24-2006
Steph, look at it this way...yeah, you get a small paycut BUT....
1. you'll be much happier
2. free/reduced hotel rooms in Boston (aaand Baltimore..... :D )
I say, make the change for your sanity until something better crops up. :)
