Recording at Concerts.
Hey, I've never recorded a live concert before and I plan to at the concerts I got to for John's winter tour. I know it should be plain and simple, but I want to get good recordings that don't sound just terrible when I get home with them. Since I know that you guys have done it and probably do it a lot, got any tips? Like what type of recorder is best for concerts and how to keep out background noise, beside the band, as much as possible and anything else that I haven't asked but should have. Thanks so much in advance! Though it might have been a dumb question, I just don't want to get home with rubbish all for nothing.

Hey. First they cost alot of money! I got a sony, but apparently Sharp's are better. I think its near impossible to only get the band + singing, as there will always be people in the crowd shouting out stuff, there will always be people talking. hmm...but yeah. Mine cost me like $400 AUD.....I got it a while ago so they might be cheaper now...

Whoa! I guess I'll be asking for a recorder for Christmas! Haha. I got tickets for hHuntsville and Murray this morning, so I really want one.

Just watch the level of security at concerts though. Some venues are extremely strict, and will take your stuff away if you get caught.
