Dave Matthews Band
Okay Dave and the boys need some love here, how can you not lol I've recently REALLY gotten into them. I've been a fan for a long time, but I never actually gotten any of there albums. I have tons of songs downloaded, all the favorites, but you can't appreciate how incredible of a band they are till you stop, listen to what there music is saying and how amazing of a performer they are. I wanna get the new cd that Dave put out with Tim Reynolds, I've listen to it online its..wow. powerful. Dave has one of the best voices in music, period. I get chills listening to him, and there are a very few singers who give me chills. I've been dying for a few years now to see them live and I haven't had the chance. They came to Manchester a few years ago but that was right around the time I moved down here and didn't have the money to go. Me and my mom tried to get tickets to there Boston show at Fenway a couple of years ago. no go lol There is a new video that was posted on there myspace of Dave and Tim performing its just flat out amazing http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=14164054 Dave is one of the few singers (beside John) who can make me flat out piss my pants in laugher in what he says. He's such a strange guy but you can't help but love him. He says such crazy shit you just can't help but laugh lol So who is with me on this one :D

Oh come on, no one here likes Dave Matthews Band? sheese, shame on you people. :evil: Well I'm ranting anyway lol So I got the new live CD and DVD, that Dave & Tim Reynolds have of their Radio City Music Hall performance. All I have to say is, that I honest to god have not heard such an AMAZING live album. I don't think since Continuum, and really RFS has there been an album that touch something with me. For me to say that, Is a HUGE deal because nothing since 2002 has ever comes close to John's music. I've really gotten into all the cds I have of DMB and I have never be soo overwhelmed by someone's voice like that in a really long time. I loved alot of songs that Dave has done before but those were mostly singles and some recorded songs but not enough to really hear what kind of a singer he is. Watching and listening to the live album, its such an emotional feeling, at one point on some songs I was CRYING, it was just so overwhelming, I just had no idea what kind of power Dave has in his voice, or his song writing, omg I have never heard such songwriting in my life, I didn't know words could be put together the way he has. For one its by far the BEST live album I own, PERIOD. I'm not f-ing kidding you. Dave and Tim are the MASTERS of acoustic playing. Yeah yeah John is great on the electric but he doesn't compare to acoustic playing with Dave. Dave and Tim are two of the most perfect musical pair I have ever heard in my entire life. Tim is a guitarist who Dave met before the band started and they wrote alot of songs together and back in the day performed together..etc. He is such a breath of fresh air. For someone like me who is learning to play guitar this is a huge smack in the face to hear the playing that is done on this live album. Its some of the best acoustic playing I have ever heard in my life. I am kicking myself as to why I didn't see how great Dave and the band was, but I always say sometimes you find artist at certain times in your life for a reason, and I don't think I could have appreciated DMB before compare to now, especially with my guitar playing. Okay rant is over..get the live album and DMB stuff and even Dave's solo stuff I don't care just get something LOL

I like DMB! My friend told me the day after his latest show that she had two extras... I was PISSED! Oh well, next time.

Steph, did you see that John did #41 with DMB last night at the Hollywood Bowl????? :D Twice the pleasure!!! It was like seeing John and Jon Bon Jovi at the Save the Music gala. Two great tastes that go great together!! :lol:
