Royal Albert Hall, 09/17 Guys,
I have waited five years to be able to write my own concert tale, so hope you don't mind me rambling.
After a massive struggle to get tickets to the show on September 17 at the RAH I finally got my hands on a pair, which made me the happiest girl in the world.
Even though my fiance bought my two tickets for me I went with my mum, as the concert was on her birthday and she likes him too!
I've never been to the RAH before and let me tell you it is the most beautiful venue, while it looks large on the outside it is actually quite intimate.
After a mesmerising warm up by Newton Faulkner (check him out!),
John looked hot in his red suit, and broke straight into Believe which sounded amazing.
His set was mainly of his new stuff, he played I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You), Gravity, Good Love Is On The Way, Vultures, I Don't Need No Doctor, Bigger Than My Body, Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, Dreaming With A Broken Heart, while his encore was all acoustic - he played Stop This Train (with no accompanying music....it was haunting), and then a mini-medley of No Such Thing and Why Georgia, which went down a storm.
I left with tears in my eyes, I couldn't believe I had just seen my idol in the flesh, it was a dream fulfilled and I cannot wait to see him again. I just hope I don't have to wait another five years!!!! If anyone else from the UK is on this forum and went along, I'd love to hear your stories too!!!! :-D

I have quite a few but I have to admit I went rambling before I had uploaded all my mobile pics!!!! I will post them later for you if you would like to see. I am afraid I didn't get close up, but if you look on facebook.com, and find the group "Campaign for a John Mayer UK Tour" you'll see some fantastic snaps.
I still haven't come down from it. Wish it could've lasted forever, wish I was there on the second night. Wish I had been closer to the man, I love him!!!!

Oh i really want to come to the US, try to get here as an au-pair, but dont know if i have really much chances because of my illness....
John gives so much shows in the US i would be there often! ;) I love him and he made my life so much more liveable!

My mom was born in the town of Radenthein, in Kärnten :-) I visited there once, in 1996. She moved to the US when she was a child, but her uncle still lives in Spittal.
I am glad you were able to travel to the UK to see John. Maybe he will do more concerts in Europe and you can see him again soon. My brother lives in Leipzig, Germany and if John does a show near there I will be tempted to visit him just so I can go to it
My name is Lauri...welcome to the forum! Your English is very good, I wish I could speak German half as well as you speak English.

He really should come and see us more often, I would travel to anywhere in Europe to see him. He neglects us..... :(
