Home Wife- 11-26-2005

Hi, Ladies! We definitely had a good Thanksgiving! Just the four of us at home, so it was different but fun! The kids got bundled up to play in the snow, even though it was really cold here. When I woke up Friday morning it was only 7 degrees! Yes, I agree, the AMA's were awful...no wonder John didn't bother to go! But watching the trio on Letterman was great, even though I could barely keep my eyes open! Did you happen to catch the Bowery Ballroom concert Wed. nite on that AOL site? It was fantastic! I think they are still playing it there and it is supposedly going to be available at score too! How did the babysitting go, Jo? A few hours with a little one sounds fun...I miss those days. We got out a few Christmas decorations today and watched "A Christmas Story" with the kids tonight. Well, enjoy the rest of your long weekend, it's going by fast!

Happy Thanksgiving weekend, cont.
Hey Laur and Trace, Happy Sunday morning! Man, 7 degrees BRRR! So glad you all had a good Thanksgiving. We finally finished off the pumpkin pie yesterday, but we'd gotten so used to goodies that Jess and I had to bake some brownies. We're not ready to go cold turkey (ha!) on the goodies yet. I could only get the audio on that AOL show on the dial up at home, and it took me over an hour to figure that out, so I only heard the last 45 min. or so, but it sounded great. If its up for awhile maybe I'll get a chance to catch it next week. The babysitting went amazing well (whew!). He was really good and only cried a bit when he got hungry. Then he took a bottle and napped out for about an hour and a half or so, and the parent got here shortly after he woke up from his nap. I made him really mad when I went to change his diaper though  But all was good, and our team won the football game, so yea! Oh I look A Christmas Story! I treated myself to one of my favorite Chrismas shows, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, last year, and after we watched it my daugher said "I think I feel a Christmas Eve tradition coming on..." want to get out our little string of lights today while the weather's still decent. Catch ya' later gal pals... Jo

So, it was 7 degrees Friday morning and now tomorrow's high is supposed to be close to 70  We finished off our pie today and Anna wanted to start baking Christmas cookies! But I convinced her we should wait till next weekend. A Mr. Magoo fan, eh? I remember him well, but I don't think my kids know who he is...we'll have to watch that this year!

Christmas shopping
lol Yeah, I've started, but mostly for myself :) I'm getting as/is for Christmas--woohoo! Jo

Home Wife- 12-02-2005

Haven't started any Christmas shopping yet...just a few things the kids wanted me to buy them recently while in the store, so I told them okay, but I'd put them away for Christmas. This will be Ben's last year to believe in Santa, if he even makes it all the way to Christmas without the kids at school ruining it for him. So far, only one of his classmates told him there is no santa...the same sweet little girl who just filled him in on what the f-word is! He's been wondering about that mysterious f-word for years now, I had to laugh when I found out where he finally learned it...she's the daughter of the teacher Ben had last year, and she didn't actually say it, she just spelled it for him

hahah kids today, they learn so much  I had friends who taught me stuff at a young age that i probably shouldn't have known at that age..LOL

Christmas shopping
hey gal pals, Happy Friday! I'm so ready for the weekend... Lauri, that is a funny story about what Ben learned in school. I hope he can have another year with Santa. It's so much fun to believe in the Christmas spirit! I bought a couple of things for Jessie online at Amazon today, so I'm getting a start on the shopping anyway. I haven't really thought of anything for my mom yet, though. She is so hard to shop for! I may just get her a gift certificate for massage or something. She'll hardly ever treat herself to anything like that. We had 64 mph winds last Sunday that did some damage in our backyard. So I guess I know what we'll be up to this weekend. Hope you all have a good one! Jo

Something's missing...
hey, tracy! I'm home with the sniffles *honk* grrr... Too much to do and think about this time of year to get sickie. And Jessie's finals are next week, so I definitely don't want to give it to her :( I'm dosing up with vitamins and herbal remedies (elderberry syrup, etc). But enough of this pity party! So how's tricks w/you? Did you ever post pics from Julie's bd party? If so, I missed them. That sounded like such a fun theme :) ahem, Lauri, are you decent? *knock, knock* Jo

Re: Something's missing...
ahem, Lauri, are you decent? *knock, knock* Jo No comment....lol Actually I finally started some Christmas shopping this week! And I've been getting ready for my inlaws to visit so I haven't been online much lately. I did check John's myspace page a few times this week though so I'm up to speed with the new St. Pat's day and his silly photos  Sorry you have the sniffles, Jo...I think I may be getting them too. Hope you're feeling better. I've got to find some of that elderberry syrup you mentioned. Tracy did post pics from the party but I think they were in the adult/sexy forum because that's where we post most of our pictures (keeps the lurkers from seeing them  )

chopped liver
aaw... I tried to go there to look, but I'm not special :( What do I have to do to get special? Ask Dora or Stephie? Jo

Home Wife- 12-08-2005

You can be special too! You just have to PM Dora with the subject "Clarity" and she'll give you access...the rules are right above the forum
