UK Terrorist plot foiled Thank God they were able to prevent this...21 were arrested, it's probably al-Qaida. Still not sure they stopped it completely:

I saw this on the news this morning!
A radio station in Philly, 93.3 WMMR, The Preston & Steve Show said that they wanted to blow up the planes over the Northern Atlantic so the evidence would be destroyed. It's wonderful that this could be averted. I wish the people that didn't like the "Western culture/lifestyle" would just leave us(western civilizations) alone. If you don't like us, just ignor us, don't watch MTV and covet the dumb celebrities! x-(

I heard about that this morning, hopefully nothing will happen now, see I hope all those stupid ass democratics who keep bitching, oh bush is violating the american's by phone tapping or whatever, yeah he may have done that illegally, but so far twice we've been able to stop a terror attack as well as one in Canada. I'd rather know I'm safe by them doing stuff like that, then be attack.
I'm gald Britian/England are working along side with America, it helps when you get other countries to look out for each other espically now.
I heard Boston was a mess too, i'm sure all the airports around the country and overseas's were a mess too.

I wish it was like that too, but its not that easy. They still over in there countries still have "americanized" products and tv shows..etc over there, you'd be surprised how much of the American Culture is spread all over the world. Its not just that they hate how American's are, its also Religious reasons as well, but that's a whole different topic.

We are planning on a family vacation next November to the UK...now I'm not sure I want to go. :(
It's only going to get worse, I'm afraid.

See that would never stopped me from going, it really wouldn't this is what the terroist want is to make people think they can't have a life anymore, sure its scary, sure something could happen, but i dunno, i think your safe now more then you were before 9/11 things are different, look at how they caught these people before anything happen, they saves ALOT of lives.
Someone was telling me that the airport here was just insane security check line was clear outside eepp.

I understand that, Steph. But when you have kids, your carefree risk taking days are done. I just don't want to put them in that scenario. We'll just have to see what susses out the next couple of months....
And we are not any safer than we were before 9/11, in my honest opionion. The Brits were on top of this one, with a tad bit o help from us. We have so many enemies, we can't possibly thwart all attempts at harm and destruction. It's not only Al-Quaida anymore. Think Iran. Think North Korea.
We can't even help our own people who lost everything, including their lives during Katrina.
If you think your gov't protects you, you are lulled into a false sense of "security".
Just my two pennies. Sorry for the rant. :?
