I know alot of us are into digital art, photography, and any art in general.
I have to model in 3-D frequently. As a result, I thought I would create a thread for anyone that wants to post thier work from programs such as 3-D Max, Rhino, etc.

These were for a project I had the critique of yesterday. We had to design a restraunt/cafe in a "gutted" brick building. We had to use a chair by a specific designer that we had analyzed earlier. My chair was Marcel Breuer's model B-33. It is chrome plated tubular steel with stretched leather as the seat and back (designed and manufacture in 1927-28 and still manufactured today). I liked the idea of shifted platforms for the 2nd and 3rd floors representing the plane of the chair seat, the railings are the seat backs, and the columns are chrome plated tubular steel. This design is mine, completely born from my imagination. Here are some images of my 3D model, I first designed and extruded everything in AutoCAD, then merged it into 3-DMax and applied material/lights/finished.
This is an axonometric view of the front corner with the brick columns on the outside walls and the roof removed.
This is the corner view with no lights, what the restraunt would look like closed in the middle of the night.
This is the corner, lit up and closer. You can see the bar area to the left, seating towards the right, and the over-all feel of the downstairs.
This is the same view with the walls and glasss removed. You can now see the sofas in the waiting area, the stairs, the bar and seating in true color.
Close-up of stair railing and chair tops peeking over the railing on the second floor.
This is a view over the third floor, looking down at the bar. You can see all the way down, making the floor plan and seating area feel very open.
This is my overall layout.
A close-up of the left.
A close-up of the right.
Those are most of my renderings, I hope you like them. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. |
